A delegation of Netherlands' reputed international Macro Group, associated with cash and carry wholesale business, called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan here on Tuesday. The Group informed the Governor about plans for expanding their business to Karachi after making inroads into Philippine, Thailand and other countries of the area. They observed that Karachi is a highly conducive city for business.

On the occasion Principal Secretary Brig Akhtar Zamin (retd); Provincial Secretary Industries Nasar Hayat, member land Utilisation Mohammed Riaz, EDO Revenue Mohammed Waseem and other officials were also present.

Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan appreciated the decision of investor's group from the Netherlands and assured them of provision of all facilities from the government.

He told them that Karachi is the emerging economic hub of the region and a focal point of country's all the economic activities as most trade generates from here.

It was pointed out in the meeting that as a result of the start of business by the Group, the trade volume at Empress market and city's five more markets would increase manifold.

The Governor expressed the hope that after Karachi, the group will expand its business activities to other cities of the country.
